DSP Response

I like all of the Stories but i loved the one with the legos because i thought it was one of the hardest ones to do. And i also thought that marwans was funny because of how they set it up. Racism is still sort of a big thing. I think in schools it is alot bigger thing than with like parents and stuff. It used to be really back along time ago but it has gotten better since. There is alot of racism through people who cant speak eanglish, or sometimes people say other bad things that isnt even true. I think jobs alot harder for some people than others, and this is because of our race in some ways. Just like in the book, the whole movie is about family and race, and how they just get by, but they do it.

Our racist, sexist selves

1. The author called himself racist because he shot blacks alot faster than he shot whites. No i dont think this means he is racist because its just a test, or a game, it doesnt really show who you are
2. No is dont think it says anything about racism, because like i said, alot of people looked for the weapons or cellphones instead of the color or race of the person
3. Because more people are into the opposite sex, and different genders more than the color. Guys like girls and girls like guys that is how alot of people look at it.
4. The quote is saying that, americans dont have anything against women, but they think of them differently as men. Like political, they think of them being the nice group and not the kind of group that can run the country, or go to war.
5. That they dont get as much credit in the political terms as men do. People think of them differently because of how they act. Which isnt true, because you dont know everyone, and all there personality.
6. Just keep trying to change the way the nation looks at you. I mean he is saying than in a large stand point it is harder for women in politics and presidential. Well i think that if women keep trying to do this, than it will start to change.

quote blog

No question is so difficult to answer as that to which the answer is obvious. I think this quote is saying that when the answer is right in front of you it is almost harder to find the answer because its so obvious. You try thinking way to hard so you pull out random answers when it is actually right in front of you. It almost way to easy to figure out. I agree with this because there are times were the answer is one word or frase. Instead of these huge answers, that all these people try to explain when really they are just wasting there time. Like school, you see everyone trying to explain everything by using the most time as possible. But really they could be explaining it in a 10 second or less answer. I think it is also like sports or golf. You can easily screw up by thinking to much. You just have to do what you have to do. Just go up and hit the ball, or take the shot. Dont get nervious because it makes it worse. These are some of the reasons a agree with this quote. It is totally true in my life, and others.

Adive to Macbeth

I think Macbeth needs to stand up for himself and show what kind of man he should be. The reason i think he should kill the king is because he would have all power, because then he would become king. The person that would get in his way would be Banquo, which macbeth can do somethnig about. But the good thing is that he can set it up so there are other people to blame the mrder in. If he is gonig to kill him the he has to step up and do, and if he's not then lay back and go back to your old job and see waht happens.

48 laws of power

law one

i think this law works because a lot of people actually do this. Maybe like your parents or teachers are above you. So you dont try to ber like them. You like showing them that you have talents but you dont want to say your better. I think this should work if you are a nice person only because if your mean then this wouldnt work. You want them to like you not hate you, so you do whatever you can for that to happen. The moral of teh story is to respect your elder, or the people above you. Be nice to them and good things will come back to you.

Shakespeare

I have worked with shakespeare novels for a couple years now. i think in 8th grade is when i started and we had to read a summers nights dream. It was an ok book, but very hard to understand. I had to act out some of the plays and also had to read infront of the class. I had to do a little of shakespeare last year.
I think we have to study shakespeare, because he is a very famous and one of the greatest writer of all time. He wrote so many book that people loved and still do love, and they are making schools read and study him also. He is so hard to understand in most of his novels, that maybe they want the kids to get smarter by reading harder book. Or learning more vocabulary. Even though it is hard for me to understand, i like reading it, because they end being a great story.

3. You dont have to travel you can do verything from home, it is easier on everyone.

4. You would get distracted from any place, that you could have tons of fun, or like places that arent real or would happen.

WASL

1. So you can get ready for college, and to see what we do good in, and what we struggle on. See how we do everytime, and see if we do better.
2. I dont really think there are any good aspects because i really think there is no point in it. But if i had to say something i think the good aspects are just finding out what subject you are better at.
3. I think you could have some little test but not as serious, or you could just use grades. Maybe see if you got better that semester or that year. I dont think we need to take a WASL test, when its kind of pointless.

odysseus in America

This talking about all the guys in war that have talked about it. There talking about being discharged just like paul. He got to go home, and see his family but then he came back. so this is similar. The fireman stay and on the ground and the pilates are in the air. This is what they study and are out there for. Paul he was a fireman or groundman. He fought with a weapon on the ground floor. It it telling you all the things that happen at war and what people are feared of. I think this related to Paul and his friends in All Quiet on the western front. Your just fighting against men like you that are killing men for no reason. Paul explains that in the novel. He kills the man that has a family to go home to just like him.

driving to the funeral

1. She states that car crashes are the number one death from 15-20 year olds. "in Massachusetts alone, one third of 16-year-old drivers have been involved in serious accidents."
2. "It’s become a sad rite of passage in many American communities, the services held for teenagers killed in auto accidents before they’ve even scored a tassel to hang from the rearview mirror." "Perhaps the only ones who wouldn’t make a fuss are those parents who have accepted diplomas at graduation because their children were no longer alive to do so themselves, whose children traded freedom and mobility for their lives."
3. People would think about her argument because she writes for a major company. "Soccer field, Mickey Ds, mall, movies.Of course, if that’s the rationale, why not let 13-year-olds drive?"
4. I think she was very persuasive. i mean i agree but i am still glad i have a license and i dont want to give it up. She might convince some teen drivers to watch out and be more careful. Prabably all of the parents with children that are going to drive one day. After reading this tehy are going to think differently about the roads and driving situations. Also the driving people. It shows that they might need to increase the driving test so they are accually good drivers when they start to drive on there own.

CYOA

The differences from a regular story, and these stories is cool. I like the way these stories are writen because you have like 2 different ways to go, and it kind of shows that your in the story, because you get to make the decision. A regular story just keeps going on, page after page but these are different. It also stops each page showing some sort of suspense, or cool information. I like the way these stories are writen, i wish we got to read stories like this because its alot more interesting to me. You get to use your imagination instead of reading what is eactly writing, or exactly what you have to write.
